- Porto Katsiki – Greece

One of the most beautiful beaches of Greece is popular exactly for this reason. Because its waters are the clearest in the country and possibly in the whole Europe.
Porto Katsiki is a relatively new beach, discovered only in the 1960s by a group of sailors who stumbled upon it while navigating the Ionian Sea. It was named Porto Katsiki, which means “Goat Port” in Greek, due to the presence of goats in the area. Over time, the beach gained popularity and was eventually included in the list of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Porto Katsiki is located on the southwestern coast of the island of Lefkada, Greece. It is situated in the municipality of Apollonia, about 45 kilometers away from the capital city of Lefkada. The beach is located at the bottom of a cliff, which can be accessed by a steep and winding road
Porto Katsiki beach looks truly fascinating surrounded by incredible hills which make it accessible only by 80 steep steps descending along the cliff.
